Auto Super Shoppe Te Awamutu formerly Maurice Thomson Motors since 1980 is one of New Zealands leading Italian car Specialists, catering for all the Italian Marques, including Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Lancia. We are also very experienced in looking after other European makes, including Peugeot, Volkswagen, BMW, and Audi. We are a family run business founded in 1953 by Italian Car Enthusiasts and over 50 years later we are still constantly looking to offer the best possible service to our customers. We have customers coming to us from all over the North Island to have their Italian vehicles serviced with us. Our service involves all aspects of running an Italian car under one roof with a full range of services from small mechanical repairs to Full engine rebuilds in our expanded Workshop. We have  skilled, experienced staff, that have been with us for many years and we pride ourselves on our Workmanship. Mark has been with us over 20 years and is very experienced on all European vehicles and loves working on Engine rebuilds, and the larger jobs that come into our Workshop.

We then have Keegan who has been with us over 8½ years is a qualified Automotive Technician, and also a qualified Auto Electrician was the Apprentice of the year in the Waikato Area. He is becoming very skilled in diagnostics, and a valued member of our team.

Maurice Thomson is a MTA Committee Member for the Waikato Branch, a Low Volume Certifier. Maurice has worked for many years for Motorsport NZ in the capacity of Technical Officer, as well as Clerk of the Course and Steward.   He is also, a Life Member of the Waikato Fiat Club.
